Twitter Poetry: Twittering Tweeter Twit Tweeting Tweets Upon Twitter
Twittering Tweeter Twit Tweeting Tweets Upon Twitter
- - - A Twitter Poem by: Dan Hollings
asked the twitter to the tweet.
Follow me, Follow me,
for a small yet seductive treat. This crazy twittering frenzy
has the whole world (including me) in it's grip,
When a quick thought hits my cortex,
without pause I let it rip. It could be genius, could be frivol,
Could be something in between,
As it sucks my brain relentlessly,
This twittering collective conscious machine It's addictive as is caffeine
when I stop I'm filled will fraught.
Another cup of strong black twitter, please
as I compress this final thought. Still the Tower Bridge in London
Twitters opening and closing,
Like some twitter bridge to a future world
Forgive me, I must be I'm dossing. Out my mental window
it's a gibbous moon I see
as I tweak each twitter tweet again
in my inner twitter lunacy. The unanswered question beckons me on...
Like a light bulb, my final unscrewing.
As soon as I've answered, it's upon me again,
"What are you doing? What are you doing?" One hundred and forty, the characters I count
as the grounds of my twitter keep brewing.
Another cup, another cup, another cup, another cup
"What are you doing? What the hell am I doing?" followme... www.twitter.com/dhollings
